Who we are

Takaya Energy Solutions is a majority First Nations owned company based in British Columbia. If you have a question about anything on this page, call us at 604-892-4940.

What the contact form collects

If you fill in the form on our contact page, we ask for your name and the organization you work for, and we need an email address so we can reply. You can also tell us your role, your phone number, what kind of project you are asking about, and anything you want us to know about it.

You do not have to give us the optional fields. We only ask for them because they help us answer you properly.

What we do with it

We use what you send us to reply to you. That is all. We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not share it with anyone for marketing.

Your message is emailed to the Takaya Energy Solutions team, who read it. We send that email through a service called Resend, which handles the delivery on our behalf and does not use your information for anything else.

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to answer you and to keep ordinary business records. If you would rather we deleted yours, ask us and we will.

Other information the site collects

Our website is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel records basic technical information about visits, including your IP address, so the site can work and stay secure.

We also keep a short-lived record of the IP address a form submission came from, and of the email address it was sent from. This is only to stop the form being abused to send unwanted mail, and those records are discarded within an hour. The form also includes a hidden field that you never see and a note of when the page was loaded, both of which help us tell a real enquiry from an automated one.

Those short-lived records are held by Upstash, which provides the storage and does not use the information for anything else.

We do not use analytics or tracking cookies on this site.

Your rights

Under British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. You can also ask us to delete it.

Call us at 604-892-4940 and we will respond. We aim to reply within two business days and in any event within the thirty days the Act allows.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
